How did you find me?
Through public records. When a property is sold at foreclosure or tax sale, the sale is recorded by the county, and so is the surplus. We review those records regularly and identify former owners who are owed money and haven't claimed it.
Is this real, or a scam?
The funds are real. The concern is fair. Surplus funds recovery has been around for decades, and there are legitimate operators and there are bad actors. The way you tell them apart is straightforward: legitimate recovery firms never ask for money upfront, always disclose their fee, work with licensed attorneys, and give you the option to walk away at any point.

Why haven't I heard about this from the county?
Sometimes you have. Notices are usually mailed to the last known address on file, which is often the property you no longer own. Some counties post lists online, some don't. And the process to file a claim varies by county and state. A lot of people never see the notice, and most who do aren't sure what to do with it.
That gap is why we exist.
What do you charge?
We work on contingency. That means we're paid a percentage of the funds we recover for you, and only if we recover them. If we don't succeed, you owe us nothing.
The exact percentage is disclosed in writing before you sign anything. We don't take payment upfront, we don't ask for a retainer, and we don't ask you to cover court costs out of pocket.
Who actually files the claim?
A licensed attorney in your state. Sublime Asset Recovery is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We handle the research, the paperwork, and the coordination. A licensed attorney handles the filing. That protects your claim, keeps the process compliant with state law, and means the person filing on your behalf is accountable to the bar in your state.
How long does this take?
Typically a few months, sometimes longer. Court schedules vary by county, and some claims are simpler than others. We'll give you a realistic timeline for your specific case before you commit to anything.
What if I don't want to work with you?
You don't have to. The funds are yours whether we help you claim them or not. If you'd rather file on your own, or use a different firm, that's your right. We can point you to the correct county office if that's the direction you want to go.
